Our brief was to extend the playable environment for the children into the school’s existing woodland area, blending exciting shapes with beautiful, rustic structures to provide challenge for the children.
We created a network of hardwood play structures, with an oak lath wrapped play pod, rope bridges, balancing beams and embankment slide. And to top all that, an enormous ‘mud kitchen’ for mastery play. The children were fully involved via engaging carpentry workshops that resulted in sculptures and timber items that were added to their new playground.
